After receiving his doctorate in Experimental Psychology from New York University, Dr. Robert Allan completed postdoctoral studies at the American Museum of Natural History. He is currently Associate Professor at Lafayette College where he teaches courses in learning, perception, and experimental psychology as well as behavior modification, behavioral analysis of Instructional methods, and quantitative methods. Dr. Allan has served on the editorial board of The Behavior Analyst, and Journal of the Experimental Analysis of Behavior. He has also been editor of Behaviorology, The Division 25 recorder, and PsycSCAN: Behavior Analysis and Therapy. Dr. Allan has been awarded grants from agencies such as NIMH and the
National Science Foundation to support his research on neural control
of behavior. He has shared his knowledge through dozens of publications
and four books, as well as a multitude of conference presentations.
