Dr. Fuqua was awarded the doctorate in Psychology from the University of Florida. He is a Professor at Western Michigan University and Chair of the Psychology department. Dr. Fuqua's primary research interests include health psychology and behavioral medicine, behavior analysis and behavior therapy, developmental disabilities and rehabilitation. Dr. Fuqua is President of the Mid-America Association for Behavior Analysis.
He has served on the Board of Directors of the Society for the Experimental
Analysis of Behavior. He has also served as the managing editor of the
Behavior Analyst and has been on the editorial board of the Journal of
Applied Behavior Analysis for a total of more than twelve years. Dr. Fuqua's
many contributions to the field include more than 50 referred journal
articles and more than 100 conference presentations. Dr. Fuqua was recognized
for his outstanding and diverse work in 1987 when he was named Psychologist
of the year by the Western Michigan Psychological Association.
