CalABA Advocacy in Action: CHG H0046 Reimbursement Restored
Thanks to the collaborative efforts of San Diego-area providers and CalABA's Public Policy team, families will continue to have access to a critical component of ABA treatment. Community Health Group (CHG) initially informed providers it would no longer reimburse HCPCS code H0046. CalABA contacted both CHG and the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) to raise concerns and request clarification. CHG has since retracted its original communication and confirmed continued reimbursement of H0046.
This outcome was only possible because providers promptly shared this information with CalABA, allowing us to respond quickly. Thank you!
